This pewter pilgrim badge is a replica of 15th century originals. Badges like this were worn by people who had undertaken a pilgrimage to Tombelaine.
Tombelaine is a small church in Normandy on a island near Mont-Saint-Michel. The church of Tombelaine was a pilgrim’s site for worshippers of the Virgin Mary.
